Ceramic production is an energy- and water-intensive process. Gilvan has redesigned its plants to reduce these resources.
Water
92 percent of the water used in production is treated and reused. Wastewater from our factory is processed in a closed-loop treatment plant.
Energy
Waste heat from kilns and dryers is recovered in the spray dryer and office heating. A rooftop solar plant meets about 14 percent of annual electricity needs.
Waste
Production scrap and breakage is ground and reused as raw material. Roughly 15-20 percent of products contain recycled content.
