About Us

Gilvan Ceramics began in 1986 in Eskişehir, when our founder Sabri Ünsal ran a wall tile trial with local clays. A workshop making 300 thousand m² a year in its early days, it set up its porcelain tile line in 1998 and commissioned its sanitaryware factory in 2012. Today 1,100 employees support an annual capacity of 9 million m².

Our approach to production

Ceramic is a collaboration of clay, water and fire, and at each stage quality control makes that collaboration measurable. From raw materials to the kiln, from grading to packing, samples are taken from every batch; water absorption, breaking strength, abrasion and slip resistance are tested according to the ISO 10545 series. Our products conform to TS EN 14411 and are CE marked.

Design

We develop our collections with design offices in Italy and Spain. About 12 new collections a year reach the market as marble, wood, concrete and stone effects and decor ranges. Digital printing keeps repetition of veins and textures to a minimum.
